Experimental mixed-media paintings created during an artist residency at Playa in the high desert in rural southwest Oregon located on a seasonal lake with radical open skies.

During a recent artist residency in the Great Basin in the Oregon Outback, unexpected creative impulses emerged from daily immersion in the open spaces, fluvial sediments, dust plumes and spiritual history of the site located on an ancient alkaline lake that recedes to fissured mud cakes in the summer. Mixed-media on BFK paper, various sizes.
